hereafter the sea will
seem your slave, your
soldier. long after love
proclaims its border
lost and burned a city
scorched in ruins; our
tide turned out- there
sank the flotsam of
our estrangement. here
after a while and a song
we face the rising of the sun,
unbidden hope and mother dawn,
no more just two, but one.
